Introduction:The chief aim of the Design Psychology course is to establish the cognitive mechanism-oriented design methods and to facilitate more natural and appropriate means of users’ experiences. Through the emphasis of user-centered design philosophy, this course is designed to create design links with cognitive behavior and user’s mental activities. Cognitive science methods, such as eye trackers and event-related potential techniques, will be adopted to study end users’ perspective of “easy of use” towards current consumer products. Product safety and intuitive user experiences is therefore forming the core of the user-centred design concept as well as the vision of future product developments.
