Introduction:Media study, a communication science, studies the nature and effects of mass media upon individuals and society. It is a cross-disciplinary field and uses techniques from cultural studies, psychology, art theory, sociology, information theory, and economics. Media study has greatly influenced the development of multimedia and of performance art, therefore for students who are particularly interested in any aspect of media and visual communication this course is a chance to ‘refine’, generate and question ‘thinking’ concerning all aspects of the multi-media world we all now live in.
