Introduction: This course will teach students everything they need to know in order to plan, design, conduct, and analyze the results of a usability test within today's fast´╝Źpaced production environment, where reducing time to market has become a prerequisite for survival. It proposes a series of iterative, small, usability tests throughout the product lie cycle that are intended to gradually design and shape the product. This iterative approach features early qualitative research of users' conceptual model and thought process, leading to increasingly quantitative studies prior to product release. The common thread linking all of these studies is experimental rigor, which many of the guidelines within address.
