ASIA-LINK Bangkok Workshop 2023 (Tue 7th – Tue 14th Feb 2023)

2023/02/07~14期間，本系參與由泰國吞武里國王科技大學 (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, KMUTT) 主辦之國際設計工作坊，此工作坊由 4 個國家的 6 所大學，共計71位學生與 9 位教師參與。期間進行各項參訪與設計活動。 以下為工作坊的主題說明。

The topic is "Future Tourism". Since the Covid pandemic began almost 3 years ago, tourisms around the world have been halted and slowly recovered at the expenses of many who went out of business. A lot of experts have agreed tourisms might never be the same again. People and businesses in this industry have been warned and aware the new pandemic could happen again anytime. Countries, such as Thailand, who rely very much on tourism are now recovering and starting to prepare for future. The future that may be more about contactless and cashless societies, virtual vs physical, traveling or not traveling etc.

This workshop will ask and try to find answers for these questions: What will the future tourism be in 5-10 year time? More virtual or physical tourism still rules? And how can we make the best of both worlds? How can we make tourism rely more on local rather than international if pandemics strike again? How can we engage local communities more? How can we make tourism more sustainable yet experiential, enjoyable and memorable at the same time?
