Hello, I'm Thao Hien, and I want to share my heartfelt experience at Chang Gung University in Taiwan where I pursued my Master's in Industrial Design in 2014. Those years became some of the most cherished moments of my 20s.
Leaving my home in Vietnam to study abroad was both exciting and challenging. Everything in a new country felt unfamiliar – the language, the lifestyle, even making friends seemed daunting. However, Chang Gung University quickly became my second home. The university's support system for international students was a lifesaver. They assisted me with everything, from paperwork to adapting to daily life. Thanks to their help, I swiftly adjusted to my new life at Chang Gung.
At the Industrial Design department in Chang Gung University, I didn't just learn; my mind expanded. I gained fresh insights into design thinking and user research. These skills later allowed me to create products that truly resonate with people's needs and emotions. The professors and staff were not just educators; they were mentors, always there when I needed guidance.
What also amazed me was the vibrant campus life. Chang Gung was not just about studies; it was about making connections. The university organized various activities and clubs that brought students together. I made lifelong friends, both from Taiwan and around the world. The facilities were outstanding – from the spacious library to the well-equipped gym and sports courts. The environment was not just clean; it felt safe and welcoming.
Looking back, my time at Chang Gung was more than education; it was a journey of personal growth. I am immensely grateful for the support, the friendships, and the knowledge I gained. Those years shaped me into who I am today, and for that, I will always be thankful.
